CryoSymp 2023 - Oslo, Norway, from 13th until 15th June 2023
We warmly invite you to participate in CryoSymp 2023, the IV International Symposium on Plant Cryopreservation, to be held in Asker close to Oslo, Norway, from 13th until 15th June 2023. CryoSymp 2023 will be organized by the Norwegian institute of Bioeconomy Research, together with the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS).
The conference will focus on sharing expertise on cryopreservation in relation to plant genetic resources and plant health, basic and applied research in cryobiology and plant gene banking.
There will be with sessions on:
- Crop biodiversity and plant genetic resources
- Advances in fundamental cryobiology and applied cryobiology in plant preservation
- Cryo genebank of germplasm
- Healthy plant materials in plant cryopreservation
Oral and poster presentations will be invited to cover the full spectrum of research, from theory to implementation within relevant theme.
Finally, our social program will allow you to meet colleagues from all over the world, enjoying a relaxed afternoon at the Oslo fjord.

How to get to Holmen Fjordhotell:
From Oslo Lufthavn (Gardermoen) to Sandvika directly:
Take the Airport Express train (F2, direction Drammen) to Sandvika station (39 min).
Alternatively, you can take the NSB trains R10 direction Drammen, R11 direction Skien or L12 direction Kongsberg. This is cheaper and takes only 40 min.
You have to buy tickets in advance.
All trains go via Oslo Central Station.
From Sandvika station - It takes about 8 minutes by taxi.
Alternatively: Leave the train at Skøyen or Lysaker station and take bus number 250(E), direction Slemmestad/Sætre, to Grønlia in Asker. The bus stop is right by the hotel.
Return from Sandvika station to Oslo Lufthavn (Gardermoen):
Take the Airport Express train (F2) to Oslo Lufthavn (Gardermoen).

Parking There is free parking at the 2 top parking lots, and down the road to the hotel. The hotel garage is subject to a fee of NOK 8 per hour / NOK 150 for 2 days.
